INGRÉDIENTS
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 500 g (about 1 lb) ground meat of choice (pork, veal or beef)
- 175 ml (1/2 cup) bread crumbs
- 10 fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp.) garlic powder
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp.) onion powder
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp.) dried oregano
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) fresh parsley, chopped
- A few drops of Tabasco, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper
- 4 burger buns
- 4 singles cheese slices
MÉTHODE
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil, add onion and cook until translucent
- In a large bowl, combine meat, onion mixture and all other ingredients. Mix until fully incorporated
- With wet hands, shape into 4 flatten patties
- Preheat bbq to medium-high and grill the patties about 4 minutes on each side (or until the meat is cooked)
- Serve in burger buns and top with cheese and condiments (ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, etc …)
